The Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Regional Development team, is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative grants development professional to join our team. As Devereux’s Grants Manager , you will play a key role, reporting to the Regional Director of Development, in identifying, preparing, submitting and stewarding external grants, both through private foundations and corporate/government sources throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. With your proven grants expertise, you will identify strategic priorities of interests to the grants community and lead multi-disciplinary teams of high-level professionals (internal & external) to acquire the necessary program, budget and outcomes information to develop successful grants proposals.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing, analytical, planning, communication and organizational skills in helping to identify, research, analyze and when appropriate, pursue grants that will enhance Devereux’s ability to serve more people in need of advanced behavioral healthcare services. In addition, to monitoring changes/trends in the grant development environment and serve as internal resource/expert regarding grant development, trends, models and best practices.

This position will work remotely and should be familiar with Pennsylvania/New Jersey programs/funding environments.

Qualifications

Our Ideal Candidate :

Experience in a behavioral health, healthcare or other educational organization is preferred;

Bachelor’s degree, combination of education/experience. Additional technical training in Grant Writing, Charitable Giving, and/or Public Relations preferred;

Minimum of two years of experience in writing grants, conducting research, establishing and monitoring systems to track grant proposals and managing associated databases;

Exceptional written/oral communication skills, strong project management and organizational skills;

Excellent interpersonal skills, team player/Servant Leader attitude and outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels and diverse groups within, and outside of, the organization and provide consultative services to center management and development staff;

Conceptual, creative thinker with a passion for writing;

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must have a sense of urgency and be able to operate in a fluid environment with sensitivity to deadlines;

Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a matrixed organization with local and remote stakeholders;

Strong proficiency with word processing, database management and presentation software. (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI and Word).
