Data Coordinator-LA Arboretum Foundation

Position: Data Coordinator, Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden
The Data Coordinator is responsible for evaluating and coordinating the member, donor, class registration, Visitor Services data for the Los Angles Arboretum Foundation; responsible for online ticketing platform; supports staff in the effective use of the database; helps to expand our capacity. The Data Coordinator works closely with staff throughout the organization to provide both analysis and quality control of data. The Data Coordinator is a full-time, 40 hour per week position and is an employee of the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation.

Required Skills:
Demonstrated organizational experience with the ability to manage time well, multitask and maintain a close attention to details of various ongoing programs; possess a strong working knowledge with database best practices; have effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to understand and apply big-picture concepts; possess computer skills, preferably including Blackbaud products (Altru), Word, Excel, and/or similar software; ability to work independently within a flexible team environment; ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.

Required Education and Experience:
At least three years’ experience working with non-profit database; experience with Blackbaud products preferred; strong experience with, and knowledge of, database best practices, Excel proficiency (pivot tables, Vlookup)

The Arboretum is a 127-acre botanical garden and historical site jointly operated by the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. Located east of Los Angeles in the city of Arcadia, the Arboretum is home to plant collections from around the world, as well as architectural landmarks representative of important chapters of California history. The Arboretum hosts over 320,000 annual visitors, in addition to serving 20,000 students a year through school programs and adult education.
