Summary

The Director of Campaign Operations serves as a valued partner within the Feeding Westchester (FW)’s development team, ensuring the effective operation of systems, with a primary focus on the Raiser’s Edge database, and management of prospect research activities and prospect management systems. This role guides the department in evaluating business needs for best managing constituent relationships, implementation, integration and usage of technology, and utilizing data to inform strategic direction. This position develops guidelines and protocols for systems and data and implements best practices.

Serving as the primary liaison to Finance for the Development team with a focus on clear and regular systems of financial reconciliation, reporting, system/data integrity and process. Oversees the organization’s CRM database, including data integrity, accuracy of records, process improvement, data analysis, donor research, and staff training.

Summary
The Director of Campaign Operations serves as a valued partner within the Feeding Westchester (FW)’s development team, ensuring the effective operation of systems, with a primary focus on the Raiser’s Edge database, and management of prospect research activities and prospect management systems. This role guides the department in evaluating business needs for best managing constituent relationships, implementation, integration and usage of technology, and utilizing data to inform strategic direction. This position develops guidelines and protocols for systems and data and implements best practices.

Serving as the primary liaison to Finance for the Development team with a focus on clear and regular systems of financial reconciliation, reporting, system/data integrity and process. Oversees the organization’s CRM database, including data integrity, accuracy of records, process improvement, data analysis, donor research, and staff training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director will be responsible for maintaining Raiser’s Edge, supporting the Development team through prospect research and moves management oversight, and reporting. The Director will be a member of the Development leadership team and will provide strategic guidance to the team as it relates to prospect management, reporting and data. This is a supervisory role, and the Director will manage up to three team members.

Relationship Management/Moves Management
• Coordinating and maintaining the Moves Management system for all prospects, organizing regular “roundtable” meetings for prospect discussion and Moves review.
• Managing the prospect research functions in support of the FW’s overall fundraising effort, with a particular focus on prospect tracking and management and relationship development.
Prospect Research
• Interpreting acquired data to determine prospects’ philanthropic inclinations, capacities, and capabilities towards FW.
• Conducting proactive prospect research for priority initiatives (including campaign) while expanding the pool of potential prospects.
• Updating Raiser’s Edge database with research information.
• Managing the prospect research and management functions for fundraisers including oversight of prospect research activity and direct responsibility for administration of FW’s prospect management system.
Major Gift Strategy
• Assisting with major gift prospect strategy development and interacting with development colleagues to maintain an awareness of needs and activities.
• Maintaining a tracking system of all prospects and donors to help organize cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
• Coordinating the proposal process for each prospect within the Solicitation stage of Moves Management.
Gift Processing and Data Management
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive list of data health checks to ensure database integrity.
• Supervising daily operations related to database management, gift processing and acknowledgements, record maintenance, donor communications, reporting, and prospect research and management.
• Managing, maintaining and troubleshooting Raiser’s Edge database, including gift, biographical and event data management, coding and table structures.
• Providing end-user training on self-service report creation within Raiser’s Edge
Reporting
• Developing accurate, complete, and timely reports for the development department.
• Reviewing upcoming and completed action reports as well as the prospect pipeline.
• Providing strategic direction on the progress and performance of fundraising efforts.
• Coordinating the specification and creation of custom reporting where necessary.
• Overseeing list creation for all solicitation, event invitation and publication mailings.
*Performs other related duties and assignments as needed, and always works in a collaborative manner with the larger Development Department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Knowledge
• Proficient in Raisers’ Edge (RE) software or comparable donor database
• RE Professional level certifications Preferably
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Fundraise Up, Omatic
• Highly efficient with Microsoft Office, and familiar with Microsoft Teams and Adobe

Required Education/Experience
• Must have 5+ years of increasing levels of responsibility. Comprehensive understanding of prospect research principles, wealth indicators, database management, fundraising strategies, traditional as well as online resources, and federal and state privacy regulations as apply to fundraising.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and juggle multiple tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. Ability to synthesize complex ideas and data into concise yet motivational proposals to secure philanthropic support.
• Ability to speak effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds and levels of sophistication.
• A valid driver's license and use of a vehicle to travel is required along with the ability and flexibility to travel independently in the daytime and evenings (including occasional weekends) to destinations and events throughout Westchester County.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, and set up a variety of promotional materials including electronics, materials in boxes, and table top screens (weighing up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to pack, unpack and put away various materials.
• Prolonged standing, walking and bending in addition to sitting in front of a computer.
• Ability to access, research, read, review, enter and retrieve information from computer, hard copies and desk top publishing systems.
• Ability to give regular communications in person, writing, by email and by telephone.
• Ability to access all work sites of the agency.
• Ability to work in below 0 F temperatures for short periods of time.

Working Conditions
• Working inside the Feeding Westchester offices a warehouse environment.
• Working outside in all weather conditions in all Westchester communities.
• Travel throughout Westchester County.
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours including some evenings and weekends.

SALARY : $100-120k (Negotiable based on experience)
