Associate Director of Campaign & Stewardship

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Associate Director of Campaign and Stewardship is responsible for implementing and managing a comprehensive capital campaign and its activities through fundraising, cultivation, and relationship building programs, and specializes in stewarding donors up through the giving pipeline to promote consistent financial support and advocacy from donors of Foothill Family. The position will maintain a portfolio of individual and corporate donors and will actively engage current, lapsed, and prospective donors at the highest levels to secure funds for Foothill Family’s growing programs and in the Pomona Valley. The Associate Director of Campaign and Stewardship will serve as the main point of contact for these donors to deepen their relationship and increase their support for the agency and its mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports and promotes the mission of the Agency: Foothill Family empowers children and families to achieve success in relationships, school, and work through community-based services that advance growth and development.
Manages a portfolio of current, lapsed, and prospective donors to ultimately reach the $3.2M campaign goal and increase annual major giving consistently.
With the Director of Development, identifies and monitors the campaign plan strategies, and assures the campaign remains on schedule. Develops strategic cultivation and solicitation plans, personalized, proposals, and other campaign communications.
Implements programs and activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors giving $10,000+ annually, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for Foothill Family.
Solicits assigned donor portfolio, including preparation of personalized materials when needed.
Develops and executes ongoing strategy for qualifying suspects and moving them to prospect status using tools such as small cultivation and recognition events, research, and community networking.
Attends events to support the Development Department and deepen interaction with donors and prospects.
Works with the Director of Development and Annual Fund Manager on campaign, fiscal, and high-level reporting and presentations.
Maintains and analyzes proper gift entry, reporting, and intersection of board give-or-get statuses.
Generates data extractions as needed for Development and Finance Departments.
Performs gift processing cycle and helps ensure the accuracy of all gift information entered into the donor database.
Provides guidance and training for staff regarding database software.
Works with the Events and Volunteer Manager to support the planning and implementation of cultivation, stewardship, and campaign events.
Assists in other financial development projects as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
A minimum of five to seven years of experience in successful major gift individual and corporate fundraising and management.
High-level knowledge of campaign management and stewardship planning.
Demonstrated ability to work with campaign volunteers and establish and maintain effective relationships with senior executives both within and outside the agency.
Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Creative thinker with strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under deadlines.
Ability to work some evenings and weekends
Ability to proactively anticipate and efficiently solve problems.
A polished and professional demeanor to interact graciously and effectively with constituents, stakeholders, and community partners.
Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
Valid CA Driver’s License and maintains insurability on the Agency’s auto liability policy (including a minimum of 2 years driving experience) and maintains the California state required auto insurance liability limits.
