Donor Database Administrator (PT) at Jewish Federation of Edmonton

Responsibilities summary:
To administer and maintain Donor Relationship Management systems in Raiser's Edge in order to broaden and enhance donor engagement.
- Maintain and enhance Raiser’s Edge database.
- Enter all donations in a timely and accurate manner into the Raiser’s Edge database.
- Perform regular database maintenance through queries, global changes and data importing/exporting.
- Update and maintain donor, volunteer and program information. Validate accuracy of data inputs.
- Enter donations, share transfers, bequests, foundation grants, tribute gifts, and pledge payments. Record financial transactions including cash, cheques, and credit card payments.
- Provide periodic payment status reports to staff to identify overdue payments.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from donors and staff. Promptly address flagged transactions, missing or inaccurate credit card information, and credit card disputes.
- Validate gifts and supporting documentation; ensure compliance with CRA guidelines for receipting.
- Works closely with other staff members to identify and compile information on donors, prospective donors, corporate donors, grants, special events and other fundraising initiatives.
- Issue thank you letters and tax receipts.
- Create tribute acknowledgements; which may include memorial, thank you, honor and other special occasion cards.
- Liaise with Blackbaud Technology partner to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Additional Raiser's Edge administration responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary education in related discipline, including courses in Database Administration.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 2+ years of in-depth database administration experience, including data import, export and query functions.

- Ability to work onsite.
