Responsibilities summary:
To administer and maintain Donor Relationship Management systems in Raiser's Edge in order to broaden and enhance donor engagement.

  • Maintain and enhance Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Enter all donations in a timely and accurate manner into the Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Perform regular database maintenance through queries, global changes and data importing/exporting.
  • Update and maintain donor, volunteer and program information. Validate accuracy of data inputs.
  • Enter donations, share transfers, bequests, foundation grants, tribute gifts, and pledge payments. Record financial transactions including cash, cheques, and credit card payments.
  • Provide periodic payment status reports to staff to identify overdue payments.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from donors and staff. Promptly address flagged transactions, missing or inaccurate credit card information, and credit card disputes.
  • Validate gifts and supporting documentation; ensure compliance with CRA guidelines for receipting.
  • Works closely with other staff members to identify and compile information on donors, prospective donors, corporate donors, grants, special events and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Issue thank you letters and tax receipts.
  • Create tribute acknowledgements; which may include memorial, thank you, honor and other special occasion cards.
  • Liaise with Blackbaud Technology partner to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Additional Raiser's Edge administration responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary education in related discipline, including courses in Database Administration.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 2+ years of in-depth database administration experience, including data import, export and query functions.
Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work onsite.
  • Satisfactory employment references.
