Do You Have Any Weird/Unexplainable Experiences?

The most recent thing that comes to mind for me was reviewing some baby monitor footage with my wife and seeing a floating orb, with the monitor detecting it as a “Humanoid Object.”

Freak….out….

Do you have any weird/unexplainable experiences like that? Extraterrestrial contact? Bigfoot hanging out with your dad? Mothman showing up in the woods when you were out camping at age 7?

Let's hear 'em in the comments! ?

  • OH man, you hit my sweet spot for supernatural. Yes, I've had three ghostly encounters in my life. All when I was younger, but I feel like as an adult, I have a super sensitivity to the paranormal!

I have three “ghostly” encounters from my childhood, but the predominant one is when I was little, I stayed with my grandparents at their home in Grand Isle, Louisiana. One night I woke up and there was a pirate standing in the doorway of the bathroom. Fully dressed as a pirate, head to toe and just standing there looking into our room. I never told anyone about it.

Years later we were all sitting around at Christmas telling ghost stories and my aunt chimes in and said she saw a pirate ghost in the exact same spot in the exact same house!

Thus began my lifelong obsession with pirates!

  • I was in my parents' uninsulated attic in the summer after my Freshman year of college, going through stuff. It was VERY hot and humid. I found a box with Christmas letters my Grandparents had sent when my mom was growing up. As I was reading, I felt a cool, comforting breeze wash over my shoulders. I think it was my long-deceased Grandpa reading over my shoulder.

  • When I was a kid, we lived in an old house in the middle of town. One year, I remember we looked out the back door, and there was the neighbor cat, staring right at us through the glass in a weird, creepy unmoving way. The next morning, our pet bird was randomly dead in its bird cage indoors.

Later that summer, we looked out the kitchen window, and there it was again - staring right at us. That week, our pet tarantula randomly died in its terrarium, eaten by its own crickets.

Of course, our neighbor didn't even own a cat - she was a dog person. And that was the only time we ever saw the cat. Kid jitters? Or portent animal? You decide. ?
