Inactive applicants and imports

For user of mid-size institutions with CUUI enabled, how are you dealing with Inactive applicants? We have a daily import that is an active student file from Banner. A header can be added that would mark them inactive and mapped using the inactive applicant header, but what happens if they are imported again(now active)?

We are doing the same thing...we have a Active field in the Student import file....and the Inactive ones are marked inactive. I assume like other fields that may change in the import process if the status flips...it would be reflected in the system Inactive can come Active. I've not tested that hypothesis...but I've had to change other field values...and after the import..they changed in the system.

Hi, we use CUUI as well and we have a qualification from the import file called Active=Y or Active=N. So for every scholarship qualification group we also set a qualification for Active=Y. That was if a student tries to apply to a scholarship that is no longer an active student they would get 0 for the qualification points and not be eligible. Also, if a student was an active student at the time he/she applied but they maybe during the scholarship cycle became inactive they would then show in the applicant pool as 0 for the qualification points as well. Hope that may help out!
