Processing "Wish List" donations

Does any organization process “Wish List" donations? Example: We have a camp, and are asking donors to donate the amount for a climbing rope, harness, etc. But as gift processor, we just have a fund for Capital and Finance does not want to create a ton of new funds just for these campaign items. In the past, we just added a Reference or Note what specifically they were donating to. But I'm wondering if Gift Sub Type may be an option here. And I don't know if that would be picked up in FE when the gifts are posted…Would love any thoughts!

Hi @Kristi Gessler - Gift Subtype is one of the fields that is communicated to Finance; and depending on how your GL Distributions are set up (within Fund Records) it could impact those as well. I would recommend utilizing an Appeal/Package combination or an attribute/custom field.
