Position Description
Under the supervision of Chief Development Officer, the Database Manager manages NMF’s growing database of constituents, utilizing the Raiser’s Edge fundraising and donor management software. This full-time position also provides analysis support to the Development team and oversees gift processing.


Responsibilities
• Database maintenance: develop and follow protocols to maintain integrity of all financial,
constituent, relationship data inputs/outputs of the Raiser’s Edge database by utilizing and
communicating best-practice guidelines for complete, consistent, and logical data entry, extraction, and reporting.
• Oversee potential migration to a new database platform.
• Manage vendor relationship.
• Process, track and reconcile scheduled giving including but not limited to pledges/pledge payments, invoices, matching gifts, and recurring gifts.
• Import and batch financial, Mobilecause and NCOA data.
• Develop and document procedures for receipting and year-end giving statements.
• Produce acknowledgement letters in a timely fashion and manage acknowledgement letter process.
• Work with Finance staff to reconcile financial information between Raiser’s Edge and accounting
software on a monthly basis.
• Ensure all staff are set up with the appropriate logins, access, and screen layouts; ensure all staff are adequately trained as appropriate for their position to utilize the database.
• Process and track gifts, registrations, and communications through third parties and online tools, including but not limited to Mobilecause, Virtuous and more.
• Work with the Development team to compile a list of reports, exports, mailing lists, annual report data and other needed database outputs.
• Fulfill data requests of other departments including but not limited to: Office of the President &
CEO, Communications.
• Process and track event data through events, including but not limited to: event registrations, attendance, guests, units purchased/linked, seating and sponsorships.
• Update constituent information in database as needed.
• Research and enter lost alumni into database.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3+ years of experience with Raiser’s Edge or Virtuous required: including Importing, Online Giving and Global Functions
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills.
• Excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality is a must.
• Organized, quick learner, adaptable, creative, and dedicated.
• Ability to balance, negotiate, and interact effectively with others, work independently, and multi-task to accomplish all work in a timely manner.
• Must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot, in addition to the ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment.
• Must possess the ability to prioritize projects with sensitivity to changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Level of understanding and adherence to data privacy and security practices.

NMF has a virtual remote working environment with team members based in Chicago, New Orleans, New York, and Washington DC, and the West Coast. However, location in the Washington DC area is preferred.

Compensation
This position has a salary range of $65,000-75,000, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package, including paid time off; medical, dental and vision benefits; LTD; STD; Life Insurance; and 401K matching plan.
