Prospect Development Manager at UNC Asheville

Support UNC Asheville’s fundraising efforts by serving as the primary prospect researcher and prospect development expert for the campus. This position identifies annual, major, and deferred gift prospects by using various online resources to gather and compile research; serves as a strategic partner to all fundraisers during the donor cycle; and prepares briefing documents on individuals, corporations, and foundations, as requested by various offices involved in fundraising across campus (University Advancement, Athletics, the Chancellor’s Office, and others). This position is responsible for devising strategies to ensure the ongoing development of the University’s prospect base.

The position also plays a key role in managing the front-line fundraisers’ portfolios by creating new portfolios when fundraisers are hired, adding and removing prospects based on fundraiser feedback and doing so proactively as research indicates, maintaining the moves management system, and coordination collaboration among individual who hold relationships with prospects and donors.

The position leads meetings with the university’s top fundraisers, including the Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Athletics Director, and Chancellor. As the university enters into its first comprehensive campaign, this role will be critical to identifying top prospects and donors, and be a strategic partner in moves management.
