Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) is one of the largest independent grant-making organisations in the UK. PHF use their resources to support social change, working towards a just and equitable society in which everyone, especially young people, can realise their full potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives.

As Head of Programmes - Migration, you will lead on their migration and integration work and be part of a team supporting the overall development and direction of the Foundation's grant programmes. You will have a responsibility as part of the Management Team to help set the 'cultural tone' - one where people feel supported and thrive to deliver their work plans, achieve personal satisfaction in their work and can see and value the impact that it is having, and you will support an atmosphere of collaborative working through shared objectives and learning.

You will play a key role in developing their grant making strategy and recommending to trustees what funding and support we should commit to the migration and integration field and the organisations they support. You will also be responsible for developing relationships with new potential applicants for keeping abreast of developments in your areas of specialism to inform the Foundation's future thinking, and with other funders to pool resources, advocate and make change happen.

To be successful as the Head of Programme, you will have excellent understanding of migration and integration and related fields. You will have strong line management experience to bring out the most in your small team and ideally have experience of the processes of grant making and monitoring. You will have a good understanding of organisational dynamics - including business planning, financial reporting, performance management and governance. Additionally, you will have a proven track record of an organised and methodical approach to work, combining numerical accuracy with attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines.
