CAPITAL CAMPAIGN MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is seeking a highly motivated development/advancement
professional to assist with executing a successful comprehensive campaign. The Campaign
Manager will report to the Acting Director of Advancement and work closely with St. Andrew’s
staff and volunteer leadership. With an opportunity for increasing responsibility and growth,
post campaign, this position will transition into a major gifts and stewardship officer, focusing
on strengthening St. Andrew’s relationships with major donors and prospects.
Responsibilities
● Oversee the coordination and execution of a capital endowment campaign effort,
working in close conjunction with staff leadership, volunteers, and campaign counsel
● Organize and implement all administrative support systems for the campaign including
cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities
● Maintain a comprehensive prospect list of individuals, corporations, and foundations
● Coordinate campaign strategy meetings including scheduling, attending, and
distributing action items
● Follow-up with staff leadership, volunteers and campaign counsel on prospect outreach
and other action items, as needed
● Prepare solicitor kit materials
● Conduct prospect research using a range of tools
● Assist with campaign appointment setting with donors and prospects
● Ensure all campaign activity is maintained in Raiser’s Edge RE and NXT
● Track all pledges and maintain contributors list and other supporting documents
● Coordinate timely dissemination of thank you letters as gifts/pledges are received
● Ensure prompt distribution of gift receipts and pledge invoices
● Develop campaign progress reports for board, campaign volunteers, and staff on a
regular basis
● Coordinate direct mail effort during public phase of campaign
● Assist with implementing a major-gift fundraising program by developing individualized
donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for prospects within Campaign
Manager’s portfolio, using moves management to track visits/calls, and personally
soliciting these prospects for their campaign gifts
● Assist with campaign grant writing and proposal preparation, as requested
● Support staff leadership with all campaign needs and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in fundraising
● Two years+ of Advancement/Development office experience
● Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge RE and NXT is highly preferred
● Excellent relational, organizational, oral and written communication skills
● Ability to exercise tact and discretion in working with donors and prospect information
● Strong attention to detail
● Knowledge of relevant fundraising principles, practices, and techniques
● Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to multi-task and work independently in a
fast-paced work environment
