I've learned many things. I've learned that she is alive, as I was unfamiliar with her before aside from a cute character voice on my kids' How to Train Your Dragon flick.

I've learned that, unlike many notable celebrities and authors (Mark Twain, Akwafina), her name is her real name.

I've learned that a person looks very different on their Wikipedia photoshot than on msn.com news.

I've learned that it is possible for Hollywood actresses to flout the social norms and stay happily married to one man for over a decade.

I've learned that a woman can actually be one of the “top 100 most influential women in the world” before she gets grey and wrinkled.

I've learned that a woman can be beautiful, eloquent, successful, and rich all at the same time (I'm still working on the last one) and still be humble enough to spend a day talking to a bunch of database geeks.

Finally, I've learned that men make great Barbie accessories. Of course we all knew that no one buys a Ken without a Barbie. Thankfully, my accessory at home not only matches my clothes, but also cleans and cooks pasta. ?

I found out she is an investor in a mostly female group who owns the Angel City FC, which is a National Women's Soccer League team that started playing in 2022.

@Crystal Bruce well, I have realized I really need to get out more and watch more movies! She is 10 years younger than I am. I love that she is so in-tune with girls' obsessions of image and encouraging a more healthy outlook.

I learned she's an award winning actress. I've seen Barbie and still couldn't tell you who she is. ?‍♂️ However, Simu Liu was also in Barbie and he was a keynote at last year's BBCon…is this a running theme???
