setting up donor profile in Award Management

I'm looking for a step by step process for adding an award and the donors profile. How do you set these up?

@Darlene Ellis You have the option of setting up the portfolio first, then the donor profile and link the portfolio to it. Or, you can set up the donor profile (Stewardship>Donors>Profiles, ‘Add Donor Profile’) first, then the portfolio and link it in the donors field.

I usually do the latter.

Starting from the Dashboard

When the All Donors profile page opens, click on “Add Donor Profile”

1. Enter the donor's name (or whatever description you/your donor wishes to use)
2. In the “About” field, we generally enter the legacy information that the donor provides about him-/herself or the person they are honoring with their gift. Usually, it's a brief bio and reason for the endowment. There is an “Avatar” field where you can upload a donor's headshot (our default, as you can see, is our university logo). We leave “Impact” field blank initially since it seems to be intended for wording from an award recipient regarding how the scholarship made a difference in his/her academic life.
3. Set the “Visibility” of the donor profile: Hidden (system default); Applicants Only; or Public (our default unless the donor wishes only applicants to see the information). The “URL Name” is created by the system after #4 clicking on “Create Donor”.
4. If you have set up the portfolio first, you can click on “Add Fund” and establish the link there.
