What'cha Up To? (March '24)

What's everybody been up to?

Listening: The Big Flop podcast released a bonus episode today about the Willy's Chocolate Experience debacle from last month. Freaky and funny!

Reading: Animorphs. Don't laugh. They're actually pretty darn captivating little books, even today. Try ‘em if you don’t believe me.

Watching: The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping (Netflix). It's a tough but engrossing watch.

Comments

  • @Bobby Steurer I'm always happy to learn about an interesting new podcast to listen to - - The Flop sounds great! Currently, I've been binge-listening to the Red Handed podcast. The hostesses are so perfectly British - I love their banter!

  • @Adrienne Baumann I love perfectly British things!

  • @Adrienne Baumann I travel a lot and rather than trying to find a clear radio station every time I change a zone, I've just started setting up my podcast playlists and there's nothing better to get me through a drive than listen to the RHS podcasts! I really think I need to move to the UK because their gardens literally have me green with envy. ?

In a uno reverse card spin on the last few comments - I'm here in the UK and went to see The Gaslight Anthem (an American band from New Jersey) on Monday night at the Roundhouse! It's not my favourite venue for live music since the sound there can be a bit weird (it's literally a roundhouse that was used to turn around trains, so it's round and the acoustics are different) but everything sounded great. Emily Wolfe (from Texas!) was the support act and I really enjoyed hearing her - hearing new artists is one of my favourite things about going out to see a band I know already.

I have never been a gamer, but was introduced to Fallout 4 and I'm obsessed! It is centered in Boston and I really enjoy how they have represented the landmarks, culture, accents, and attitude of Boston and Massachusetts!
