Transactional Reporting Versus SKY Reporting™ In Financial Edge NXT

The Early Adopter Program (EAP) for our new SKY Reporting™ feature is just around the corner!

 

In preparation, we want to highlight a few differences between transactional reporting and SKY Reporting™ in Financial Edge NXT.

 
Reporting

Reports are commonly used by accounting staff and other financial users (for example, to ensure your accounting data is booked to the correct accounts and projects).


With Reporting, you can:

• Create and run reports using the Reporting area in Financial Edge NXT. Existing Financial Edge 7 reports appear on the All reports tab.
• Leverage existing reports and settings defined in the Financial Edge 7 (also referred to as the database view). Reports and tags you create in the database view also appear in Financial Edge NXT. To quickly locate the report you want, use the search field and filters.
• Review report results immediately.

 
SKY Reporting™

Dashboards are commonly used by financial and non-financial users to quickly access your organization’s financial efforts across several areas (for example, to quickly assess your organization's overall accounting performance and effectiveness).


With SKY Reporting™, you can:

• Review accounting metrics relevant to your workflow using the Analysis page in Financial Edge NXT.
• Assess your organization's financial efforts across several areas using six available dashboards (more to come!).
• Review dashboard results as needed. Dashboards are updated every two hours during standard business hours in the Continental United States. Use the timestamp at the top of the Analysis page to determine the last update.
