This release of Financial Edge NXT includes two-step authentication with your Blackbaud ID and Google.


If you sign in to Financial Edge NXT through Google authentication, you can now use two-step authentication with your Blackbaud ID for an extra layer of security. Two-step authentication enables your Blackbaud ID to require a unique verification code — received on your personal device — in addition to your email address and password.

 

To use two-step authentication, visit your Blackbaud ID profile and select Turn on under Two-step authentication. (Previously, only Blackbaud IDs that signed in through Blackbaud’s secure service could use two-step authentication.)

 

Credit card management

In addition to credit card charges, you can now Unrecord credits and personal expenses from the Credit card activity page. This is helpful if you need to correct mistakes and record the transaction again with the updated information.

Keep in mind, you cannot unrecord adjustments, or credits that have already been posted, and you must have the appropriate security permissions to unrecord a transaction. For more information, see the Credit Card Activity help topic.

Note: Credit card management is currently in our Early Adopters Program (EAP). Throughout the EAP, we will continue to enhance and improve it in preparation for general availability.
