This release of Financial Edge NXT includes several new features and enhancements. Let's start with the extended inactivity timeout!


To help protect sensitive data but still enable you to multi-task, your Blackbaud ID now automatically signs out after 90 minutes of inactivity. Previously, your Blackbaud ID automatically signed out after 15 minutes of inactivity.



Budgets – Adjust scenarios

You can now track changes for a finalized scenario by making an adjustment. For example, you should adjust a finalized scenario when an unforeseen circumstance arises that impacts budget assumptions. 


When you edit a finalized scenario, you must enter a reason for the adjustment before making your changes. For more information, check out the Edit Scenario help topic.

Insights enhancement (EAP)

To help analyze data hierarchically, you can now design an insight as a treemap in Analysis. A treemap displays data as nested rectangles, such as to compare an attribute's proportions within a measure or across multiple measures. 


After you save a treemap chart, you can add it to your dashboard. For more information, see the Insights help topic

Expense management enhancements (EAP)

With this release, you can refresh the feed for a single credit card instead of the entire credit card account, which could have multiple credit cards.

Cardholders can refresh their individual credit card feed from the Expense management page. Under My credit card transactions, cardholders can now select Work with my charges and then Refresh. Previously, only admin staff could refresh the feed for cardholders.

Admin staff can now refresh the feed for individual subsidiary cards, instead of having to update every card associated with the credit card account. Administrators can refresh a single card from the context menu under Active cards on the credit card account record page.




Keep in mind, Insights and Expense management are currently in our Early Adopter Program (EAP) and available to a limited group of users. During this time, we are reviewing and implementing participant feedback in preparation for general availability.
