Maybe you’ve spent some time lately tidying up your space. Have you organized your office? Did you put your cookbooks in order by author? Don’t be bashful, keeping it clean in this day and age is just one way we can pass time and expedite our workflow.

It’s like using Cash Receipts in Financial Edge NXT. Sure, you could spend your time creating fake client records in Receivables or constituent records in Raiser’s Edge, just so you can enter those random payments you receive from time to time. You could even add journal entries to track the flow of miscellaneous cash into your organization. But why not keep your system clean and simply store any cash detail that doesn’t really fit in any other subledger (or Raiser’s Edge) in a true cash receipting system? Keep the details in Cash Receipts and send the debits and credits to the ledger.
