The Cliché Couldn’t Be Truer

Dictionary.com defines a cliché as “a sentence or phrase, usually expressing a popular or common thought or idea, that has lost originality, ingenuity, and impact by long overuse”. All my writing classes in college, and seminars post-college, encourage the elimination of cliché from powerful writing.


Normally, I try to follow recommendations. However, there is one cliché I don’t consider to be disposable in this virtual-office world we now live in: Your data is your most valuable asset. Oh, and Garbage in, garbage out. Both are cliches that still hold significant meaning and power.
