Are You Ready For The NEW Blackbaud Community?

A few weeks ago, I let you know something BIG is happening in your Blackbaud Community. I know you’ve been anxiously waiting to hear more so cue the drum roll, please!

The NEW Blackbaud Community is almost ready!


What does this mean? A new, inviting, and engaging community full of dynamic content that becomes the heart of your Blackbaud experience.


You might say, “But, Shannon, it’s already the heart of my Blackbaud experience. What’s really new?” Hear me out -- great changes are coming.

Experience

We’ve made it about YOU (yes, you!). The redesigned site is based on how you, our members, use the community to accomplish your missions. Easily navigate the new site, connect with others, and continue to access the resources you’ve grown to love.

Navigation

We took the saying ‘consistency is key’ to heart with the redesign. If you use one product or five, you’ll find consistency across each community so it’s quicker and more efficient to get things done.

Blogs

The blogs are getting a makeover! With the same great content, all the blogs will now be based on the Pinterest format which creates a more visually appealing and easy to navigate experience.  I won’t spoil the final reveal but take a look at the example below:


You can save the ‘oooh’s and ‘aaahs’ for the final look.

In the new platform, would there be a way to link an "old profile" to a "new profile"? It seems that after leaving one organization and joining another, I am unable to merge the two.

Hi Aimee, Thanks for your question. We won't be rolling that functionality out with this immediate release. However, we are working closely with the Blackbaud single sign on team to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

I would to be able to view the email address of our colleagues from the different organizations. Is that a feature to be added in the future? So far I like the enhanced layout.

Hi Susie,

Great question. No, we will not be exposing email addresses on the site due to privacy concerns. However, if you go to a member's profile, you have the option of sending them a private message directly from the site.
