Before getting down to business, I want to share a heartwarming moment. If you're allergic to warm fuzzies, I'd recommend scrolling down now to the links at the bottom. I won't be offended. 

 

I was out of the office yesterday so I’ve been in catch up mode today. You know the drill: check email. Drink coffee. Respond. Drink more coffee.

 

Then an email from a local nonprofit I support caught my eye – they were asking for specific donations for a family starting over with nothing. I drank more coffee & clicked through to see how I could help.

 

My heart grew three sizes once the page loaded. Not even 24 hours had passed and each item was already donated. All it took was a simple email with a simple ask and this organization’s supporters were there in a blink of an eye to give back. The feels were almost too much.

 

You might be asking what does this have to do with the Blackbaud Community?  Simply put – YOU.

 

YOU are the ones pushing send on emails. YOU are the ones making sure the books are in order. YOU are the ones making sure databases are correct. YOU are the ones coordinating volunteers. YOU are the ones who push and do more so your organization can achieve its mission and change the world.

 

YOU are the reason at least one person (me) remembered the good in the world so I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all that you do.
