Blackbaud Acquires Kilter For Activity-based Engagement!

We are excited to share that Blackbaud has acquired Kilter™, an intuitive, gamified app for activity tracking to expand activity-based engagement options for Blackbaud TeamRaiser® and YourCause® CSRconnect®!

For many nonprofits, finding new ways to engage current and potential supporters is top of mind. Employers want new ways to engage and support the health and well-being of their employees. At the same time, activity tracking has grown explosively, and is now part of daily life for millions. This is why we’re excited to share that Blackbaud has acquired Kilter™, an intuitive, gamified mobile app for activity tracking to help you harness these potential opportunities, whether you’re a nonprofit or a CSR team!

Kilter boasts virtually limitless activity type choices and expands activity tracking beyond the familiar fundraising and workplace event options of running, walking and cycling: from yoga and meditation to gardening and motorcycling, individuals can connect with the causes they care about most through the activities they love. It also helps nonprofits deepen engagement with existing supporters as well as reach new ones, as engagement opportunities no longer need to be restricted to a specific location or timeframe—approximately 10–20% of sign-ups in every Kilter event have never donated to the organization before!

How can I start using it?

We plan to offer the Kilter activity tracking app as a feature of Blackbaud TeamRaiser, our peer-to-peer fundraising event software, and to support activity-based health and wellness initiatives through our YourCause CSRconnect employee engagement software.


When will it be available?

We are thrilled to offer this new feature to our customers very soon.

• TeamRaiser: We are actively working on this integration and expect to make the app available to TeamRaiser customers with no additional subscription fees within a matter of months so that you can rely on it for your spring 2023 events.
• YourCause CSRconnect: In the future, Blackbaud plans to extend Kilter's capabilities to YourCause CSRconnect customers to support employee engagement. The app will be introduced to select customers in late 2022, with integration to Blackbaud’s YourCause CSRconnect later in 2023.
