This 2022-2023 school year, I was voluntold, so to speak, to become the elementary school VP for our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). I had no idea what I was doing, but I was put in charge of what seemed like a million tasks for the spring carnival this past weekend. So, I hit the ground running by making phone calls, sending emails, and sending letters home to parents.
It was a lot to do, but I rolled up my sleeves and made sure I documented my process with the sponsors and donors I was able to solicit, so that next year would be even better.
