When measuring impact, it is important to make a distinction between Outputs vs. Outcomes. Outputs are the raw numbers--e.g. your grantee claims that "500 lb. of food was distributed." Outcomes on the other hand may be, "35 families are no longer food insecure." Outcomes is what really matters!
