Blackbaud is announcing the extension of customer access to Blackbaud Grantmaking in the classic view. The last day classic view is available is October 11, 2021, to align with the very last day Microsoft is supporting Silverlight. These extensions allow for a longer grace period for clients to adopt the new SKY View. This means that October 11, 2021, is the last date that access is available in classic view. We encourage customers to make the move right away. Below are the approximate times that access to Blackbaud Grantmaking in the classic view will end.

  • Customers in the UK: Tuesday, 12 October, at 12:00 AM BST

  • Customers in the US and Canada: Tuesday, October 12th at 6:00 AM ET / 12 Oct 8pm AEDT

  • Customers in Australia: Tuesday, October 12th at 8:00 PM ET AEDT

We believe this extended grace period for accessing the classic view will make it easier for your organization to fully adopt SKY view, by providing some more time to see some of the recent improvements in SKY view, including:

  • Fixed an issue that caused errors when retrieving and considering Pending Applications.

  • Fixed an issue where full searches and advanced searches would reset when edited

  • Fixed an issue with search criteria in SKY view that did not match classic view

  • You can now view the full budget appropriation details on a payment if you are using the budget feature.

  • Added formatting options to the Report Designer for ad hoc reports

We are continuing to improve Grantmaking in the new SKY view based on your feedback, and release notes are published every two weeks. Here are just a few of the changes that we are working on now, which were requested by members of the Blackbaud Grantmaking Community. Though these plans are always subject to change, these are all currently planned to be available in Blackbaud Grantmaking in the next few weeks:

  • Select 100 records at a time to generate batches of emails

  • Quickly drag and drop emails and attachments into Blackbaud Grantmaking to store them as documents

  • Preview images on record pages

  • And more!
