Summary: In honor of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, Blackbaud employees honor customers whose missions support veterans and veteran families.

Hi Blackbaud Community!

November 11 marks a day of profound significance around the world. At Blackbaud, we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who have served in their country’s armed forces. In the United States, this day is observed as Veterans Day—a time to recognize the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans. In other countries, November 11 is known as Remembrance Day, Remembrance Sunday, or Armistice Day, and is dedicated to remembering those who died serving their country in wartime.

In honor of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, Blackbaud is proud to highlight two customer organizations whose missions support veterans and their families:

DAV.png

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is dedicated to ensuring our promise is kept to America’s veterans. DAV does this by helping veterans and their families access the full range of benefits available to them, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill, providing employment resources to veterans and their families, offering programs and services to empower them, and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. Observe November 11 with us:

  • Wherever you are on November 11, observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. to honor those who have served and sacrificed.
  • Share your story, photo, or message of gratitude with the Blackbaud community in the thread below.
  • Thank a veteran or their family for their service.

May we never forget that our shared stories help us remember the past and inspire a future rooted in respect, service, and commitment to each other. Thank you to all who have served, and to those who continue to carry forward the spirit of service.
