Hiring Range:

$102,800.00 – 128,560.00 per year. Compensation will be based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity. Comprehensive benefits package offered.

POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy Services (AVP), the Technical Architect is responsible for the technical oversight, design, and development of custom elements for and integrations with multiple software systems throughout the department. This position will work with technical and non-technical users to understand requirements, write code within the Blackbaud SDK for use in customization of the BBCRM application, script and execute SQL to maintain/improve data quality, assist in design decisions and code repository maintenance, and will provide guidance and technical support for integrations with third party systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Produce high quality modular code either as standalone customizations or as part of a larger customization using the Blackbaud SDK.
2. Assist users in prototyping and design decisions, provide support in customization documentation and requirement gathering, perform QA and/or unit testing of customizations and work within the code repository.
3. Create and maintain BBCRM/BBIS customizations including testing of customizations as Service Packs are rolled out.
4. Provide technical support for the BBCRM and BBIS self-hosted applications working with Central IT and outside vendors to troubleshoot issues
5. Provide technical support for and maintenance of existing third-party system integrations and tools.
6. Provide technical guidance and support in the evaluation/implementation future third-party systems, tools and integrations.

Knowledge

1. Strong knowledge of MS SQL and creating scripts and stored procedures using SQL and T-SQL.
2. Knowledge of Visual Studio source/version control of customizations.
3. Experience with ETL and managing data from multiple sources
4. Appreciation of and commitment to further the mission, values, and goals of Santa Clara University.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study required.

Years of Experience

8-10 years of professional experience in related discipline.

1. MS SQL 2019
2. Visual Studio
3. CRM systems, experience with Blackbaud Enterprise CRM is a plus
4. Knowledge of the Blackbaud SDK
5. Knowledge of Zuri Velocity ETL tool
6. VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, T-SQL, XML
7. Critical thought, particularly around reverse engineering
8. Testing skills
9. Requirements gathering
