We are excited to share with you two new features in the Blackbaud Community!
We're rolling out a refreshed comments experience built around two changes you'll notice right away: nested comments and new ways to sort what you see first.
Replies now live where they belong
Up to now, every comment landed at the bottom of the page in one long list, no matter who the reply was directed to. If someone jumped in to answer a specific comment three replies up, you had to piece the conversation back together yourself.
With nested comments, replies now appear directly under the comment they're responding to. That means:
- You can reply to a specific comment, not just the post as a whole.
- Side conversations stay grouped together instead of scattering down the page.
- It's much easier to follow a back-and-forth between two members without losing the thread.
Sort comments the way that works for you
Alongside threading, you now have more control over the order comments appear in. Instead of one fixed view, you can sort a discussion by:
- Newest: see the latest replies first
- Oldest: read the conversation in the order it happened
- Top: surface the comments the community has engaged with most
- Trending: find out what's picking up momentum right now
Whether you're catching up on a discussion for the first time or just want to see what people are saying right now, you can pick the view that fits.
