National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually from September 15 through October 15, recognizes the histories, cultures, and contributions of people with Hispanic and Latin American heritage. The observance also coincides with the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Chile.
At Blackbaud, we’re honoring National Hispanic Heritage Month through learning, reflection and service.
This year, employees are marking the observance through a virtual volunteer activity focused on education and community impact. Working in teams, volunteers will create educational activity books that help children learn about Hispanic and Latin American people, stories, and contributions through engaging activities such as word searches, matching exercises, puzzles, and more.
The effort reflects a simple but meaningful goal: making history, culture, and heritage accessible and engaging for young learners, while giving employees an opportunity to deepen their own understanding and support community-centered learning.
