Traffic Impacts Through Cincinnati for 9/25/26-9/28/26

If anyone is driving through Cincinnati this weekend to arrive early in Columbus, I wanted to bring attention to some major construction. While I-71 is the route to take, I feel these closures could impact getting across the Ohio River initially.

I-75 weekend closure set for bridge beam work

Northbound I-75 closures, Sept. 25-28

Entrance ramps from Fort Washington Way, 4th and 6th streets will close beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, September 25.

A single-lane closure will begin at approximately 9 p.m. across the Brent Spence Bridge and continue north, followed by double and triple-lane closures prior to the full closure.

I-75 North will fully close at the U.S. 50 West exit (Exit 1D) exit ramp beginning at 11 p.m.

The closure will remain in place until 5 a.m. Monday, September 28.

Southbound I-75 closures, Sept. 25-28

The entrance ramp from the Western Hills Viaduct to I-75 South will close beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25.

A single-lane closure will begin around 9 p.m. Friday near SR-562/Norwood Lateral and continue south, followed by double- and triple-lane closures before the full closure.

I-75 South will fully close at the Freeman Avenue (Exit 1F) exit ramp beginning at 11 p.m.

The closure will remain in place until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28.
