Drawing on 11 years as a federal funder and two decades working with, for, and in support of nonprofits and philanthropic institutions, this workshop brings a practitioner’s lens to what trust really looks like in grantmaking today.
We will explore what AI has meaningfully opened up for funders and nonprofits, including where it creates capacity, where it creates risk, and why it cannot replace judgment, relationships, or good data.
Most importantly, we will dig into the human, step by step, no-shortcut ways funders can use their increased capacity to deliberately build trust with communities and grantees in ways that strengthen impact, accountability, and long-term partnership.
