Approving credit card charges before they are made

We would like to go paperless with purchase approvals when the purchaser is going to use a credit card.  We have the Web Portal so have the capability to route requisitions electronically but don't know if there is a way to link the requisition/PO with the credit card charge that comes in from the feed.  Any suggestions?
