Form Design: Add logic to fields that leads to other fields

Colleagues,

Is there a way to make certain fields available based on users responses (if/then)?

We are often asked to sponsor events and want to develop an online application form that provides questions based on the type of event.  Those seeking funding for a golf tournament will see different questions than those having a gala. Example, if user selects gala, then questions regarding number of tables and number of seats will pop up.

I know I can do that upfront using the Eligibility Quiz that would direct the users to a separate application. Since most of the application will be the same, I didn't want to do that.  And also, we may use several if/then selections in the application.
