List of Fields for Online Application-Blackbaud Grantmaking

We are considering an online application and/or report form. Right now we invite proposals to be submitted by paper or email. Before we make our decision and I go through training, I'd like to see a list of all fields that are available How or where would I find that? Customer Service and Blackbaud Training were unable to help.

Thank you,

  • Sue-

Definitely worth getting. I?ve had it over 10
years and the savings in time and prevention of errors is
    awesome.

Happy to connect directly and speak more!

  • We went that route about 5 years ago...what a huge time saver! Basically, any field you have in the system can be added to a form. If you have Blueprint, you can create your own fields.

I'd be happy to speak to you about our application. If you'd like just send me a private message and we can arrange a time.
  • Tania and Paula:

At Research to Prevent Blindness, we are thinking of starting the online application process. I'm not sure how to get started--we have Blueprint--and was going to post a question about it but then saw that someone else had already posted a similar question. I'm hoping someone can walk me through the process.

I'd love to pick your brains after you help Sue with her online application questions. Let me know if you have time to speak with me as well. No great rush.

    Sincerely,

    Jane

    Hi Jane,

Tania's and Paula's answers were very helpful to me. We went to Gifts OnLine in 2017, but I never did take the training sessions that had to do with Online Grant Applications since we weren't using it then and were happy with paper submission.  But if we decide to go that route, I going to sign up to take them. I'm guessing those might help you too.

Something holding us back is the Accessibility of the Application system to people who are blind or have low vision. Our mission is to support organizations for Women, Girls, and People with Disabilities. A lot of our grantees hire people with disabilities and we are concerned about how difficult the application process would be.   I reached out to Customer Service.and an Engineer got back to me that the Application has  'partial compatibility'. This is because some aspects of forms cannot be labeled and may be misinterpreted by screen readers.

I don't know if that would also affect some of your applicants. I looked in to submitting a suggestion to the "Ideas" page to make all forms accessible to screen readers. There was one there by one of my colleagues in Pittsburgh, so I voted for it. Hopefully they will consider looking in to it.

    Good luck!

    Sue
