Sky API connection to Tableau/Power BI

Hi all


I recently spent time developing an app that could link our NXT data to Power Bi using a custom connector, only for the computer service desk to tell me that I couldn't distribute my reports as Power BI is not supported at the university, Tableau being the organizational reporting solution.


Whilst it wasn't particularly easy to connect the Sky API to Power BI, there were tutorials available online for me to follow, but there is nothing at all available to show me how to connect the Sky API to Tableau.


Has anybody done this and can they share? Thank you!!

Hi All - almost a year later and there is a solution ?

I have just set up a connection between Tableau and NXT using the CData Tableau Connector for Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT, which is available for free here:

It is quite straightforward for anyone who has used the Sky API to create applications previously, and it might be a bit complicated if you haven't but I might be able to help if you're struggling.
