For our Calendar Year End solicitation we partnered with a vendor on a PURL campaign to some of our lapsed donors.  The vendor linked their payment gateway to the Payments API to send us the donation information.  The information got to BBMS and from there we moved it by hand to RE7.  For 21 donors it wasn't that big of a deal.


We are using the vendor again for Founding Day campaign in September.  As I am just in my second year in working with Blackbaud systems and tools and have done no DEV work other than get the Payment API set up, I am seeking guidance on how to get the information from BBMS into RE7 or RENXT auto-magically.  Any guidance would be appreciated: point me at a blog, point me at a knowledge base article, or provide instructions.  I know that I don't know and have not figured out the right search terms to figure out what the next step is.

    Happy to help.  The next step for getting the gift information into RE NXT programatically is to use the SKY Gift API, hosted on the same SKY Developer platform as the Payments API, although note that it requires a different subscription key.  The Gift API allows you to add and manage gifts in RE NXT.  Specifically, this POST Gift endpoint allows you to add a new gift.  


    Related, the Constituent API will allow you to look up existing donors in your database before you add any new gifts.
