EnableQuickFind on SearchList in a Collection

I have an edit form I have created consisting of two nested collections.  It works great, with one exception.  When trying to look up a constituent using a SearchList the user must open the search box, they cannot type a value into the searchlist field on the edit form.   I have the EnableQuickFind = "true".   Is this perhaps related to using a collection field?    Any ideas?

I have done some additional testing.  My search list works with EnableQuickFind="True" if it is in a Form Field, but not if it is in a collection or nested collection.    It seems like including a search list in a collection prevents EnableQuickFind from functioning.   Anyone else running into this?
