Why is there no option to attach a credit memo attachment in FE NXT?


Why do you have to go to the Vendor to add a credit memo in FE NXT?   That is time consuming to have to go to each Vendor to do that.  Why can't it work the same way as adding an invoice in Payables? Why the change from Financial Edge.

    @Carol Bosma, I agree that this is a huge hole. Did you find a way to attach the image to the credit memo entry at all? The advice I found with the attached article specifically says it doesn't work if your system is hosted by Blackbaud so I haven't found a solution yet.

    The only get around to adding a credit memo is to upload it as an attachment to the invoice that you are applying the credit memo to.

    Having to apply a credit memo in order to use it is also another process that I think should be changed. I don't think credit memos should have to be applied to a specific invoice, instead a payment should not be made to a vendor unless the sum total of invoices and credit memos is an amount due and a payment should not be made when the credit memos (an overall credit balance is showing) exceed invoices and thus no payment should be due.
