Phone Number of Donation Form

We just started with eTap and were a bit disappointed that phone numbers are required on the DIY donation form that is embedded in our website. Anyone else has an issue with this? We were told to post of on the blackbaud community to see if it was something that other people felt strong about. We are concerned that with the insanity with robocalls and so forth that it might cased some donors to not want to donate.
