New User - Is anyone else Using etpestry for Corporate Sponsors?

I would love to connect with someone who is using the etapestry product for Corporate Sponsorships in addition to the usual individual donors.  Looking for some best practices as we have not found the etapestry team to be helpful.  Their response during onboarding was that they don't have any customers who use the product for corporate sponsorship!

    Thanks you so very much for offering to help. Please allow me
    to explain a bit about my background and why I'm reaching
    out.  My background is in sales and my experience is in using
    CRMs like Hubspot as it relates to databases.  The etapestry
    product is quite different in how it is set up and what all looks
    like.  I've been working through the differences. 
    However, that being said I would LOVE to know what additional UDFs
    you've set up.  For example we work in different geographic
    markets and I've created a UDF with Location and drop downs. 
    We also have different "owners" for accounts and I've created that
    UDF as well also a UDF that indicates "stage" as in prospect, lead,
    proposal out etc., a UDF inclusive of the sponsorship year and so
    on.  We had hoped that etapestry would provide some best
    practices prior to the upload of data in order to set up all from
    the beginning.  Unfortunately, that did not happen and I've
    been backtracking and doing fixes.

    Any insight that you can provide is greatly appreciated.

  • Sorry for the delay, I don't know whether I missed or didn't get a notification of reply. It sounds like we are bit smaller than you, as we generally have an option of 2 people to own a relationship! That said, we use Campaigns to track our transactions by year and event, and then we add notes on the transaction to note sponsorship levels, since our different events have different levels and names. A simple query/report provides us the information we need. We do have UDFs set up for event attendance, but that generally hits an individual account, and the majority of our sponsors are corporate. We do not use gift transactions to track a sponsorship before it's been sold. We use Contacts to track meetings and notes ahead of closing a sponsorship. It doesn't sound like how we are set up will really provide you any help, sorry!
