We were able to get the custom connector up and running.  It's great! This is really exciting.  I don't see custom fields for opportunity records or some of the fields (likelihood, type of gift) in the standard opp load.  Am I missing a step?

I've not been able to find this either! How have you found working with the connector? I'm finding it extremely slow and I was wondering if its something I've done wrong somewhere

I haven't had much of a chance to work with it yet.  I only got set up on  Wednesday.  It did take quite a while to load the constituent file, but I thought that would be the case because of size.  I'll let you know how it goes! Unfortunately, if the custom fields for opportunity records aren't available, I won't be able to actively use it too much as those are vital to the reports I have to create for our fundraisers.

Thanks, Mark! Do you know if they will be any time soon? Opportunity records are always a pain in some way! I was hoping BB could upgrade them to "real" records now that they're so integral in NXT.

Opportunity custom fields *are* available in the SKY API, and the Power BI connector is built to talk to SKY API.  But I suspect the functionality you need (from a Power BI perspective) is to get custom fields for ALL opportunities (whereas currently we only support getting custom fields for a single opportunity).  Can you elaborate on any more details around what you need?


just thinking out loud - a less-than-ideal approach (absent an endpoint that returns custom fields for ALL opportunities) might be to iteratively pull the custom fields for the opportunities that are pulled into the dataset.(using the ListOpportunityCustomFieldsSingleOpportunity endpoint).
