School API endpoints are not supported by Power BI Connector at this time. Please take a look at this thread for an earlier discussion on the topic of additional endpoints supported by PowerBI Connector.

connect to RE NXT using Power Bi, but I had difficulty with
EMS/Core.

It's been over a year now since this post. Are there any plans to have School API endpoints that work with Power BI?

@Marita Gonsalves @Brian Pugh has there been an update with using Power BI and Education Managment? In the app settings, I see Education Managment as an option. All the directions I've found include Education. I finally got though all the setup and I can see that I only have access to tables in RENXT & FENXT. Have you successfully used it with your Education database?app settings.jpg

Hi @Katherine Nolte The Power BI connector can call the School API just as it does for RENXT and FENXT however the "navigation table" needs to be modified to include calls to the desired endpoints in School API.

@Todd DeSchuiteneer Thank you for your response and information. Is there any documentation on how to do this? Is this where Advanced Lists come into play?

Hi @Katherine Nolte, our documentation can be found here however it does not contain anything specific for connecting to the school endpoints. The navigation tables that need to be updated are within Power BI.

It may be worth creating a new post to see if any of your peers may have completed this already and can provide some direction on using that application.
