Updating Credit Card Information in BBMS via SKY API -> Raiser's Edge Integration

We recently made a change on how we update Credit Card information for monthly gifts. Previously we had been updating them through Raiser's Edge (we have version 7.96 on premise RE) from a file we receive from a vendor. Due to PCI, we don't want to continue receiving a file with credit card information. We implemented a solution where we are having our vendor update the credit card information directly in BBMS via the SKY API. This seems to be working - the credit card information was updated and we were able to process the gift. However, the one part that is missing is the Raiser's Edge piece. The update credit card information never makes it into Raiser's Edge. We had thought that Credit Card Updater would take care of this but it hasn't. I reached out to Blackbaud Support and they indicate it is working as expected and that this new CC information in BBMS would not be passed down to RE. Is there another way to accomplish what we want to do?

    Thanks for reaching out. I am curious to understand more about what seems to be missing in RE7. Ultimately the credit card information is only stored in a single secure vault in BBPS, so any payment that is made will use the latest CC info, but perhaps the last four are not updated in the display somewhere in RE7? I am happy to track down more information if you can email me directly and also send me the Support ticket number for reference.
