Reporting Format Changed with no user edit
Just wondering if anyone has experienced their report format changing without anyone editing the report format?
I have several standard reports and the alignment changed from "Left" to "Center" . I know I did no changes to my report from when I last ran them on April 1 to April 6, and the only other user that would edit reports has been on vacation. I can also see who last ran and updated the report.
I have also noticed that my variance calculations are wrong. It is as if all my % are being multiplied by 100.
If no amount was spent in the month vs a budgeted amount it should show up as 100% and it is showing as 10,000.00%

I've encountered several issues this week. Columns used for spacing, inserting 0.00. My normally 6 page Trial Balance is now 63 pages page due to 2 inch spaces between account number.
The percentage issue came up today. To fix, I had to add "/100" at the end of my formula.

Hi,
Yes, I also experienced this problem with my reports. I have problems with my percentage variance, too. Additionally, I download all my reports to Excel (Export Excel Data function) and the formatting is off: no spacing between rows and the column headers are repeating.
I'm new to my organization and this is my second month using Blackbaud. For the past month, there have been so many issues with reporting. Are the amount of unknown/unreported errors normal with Blackbaud?4 -
Update - I have logged a case with Blackbaud and they said it is a known issue and they are working on a fix.
"Hello Paul thanks for chatting in today. There were changes to the reporting module recently. Our team is actually aware of this issue with the columns and percentages. We are currently investigating this issue and will update when further information is received.
In the meantime, you can add "/ 100" to this column's formula. You may also run the report from the Financial Edge Database View."
The database report format when I export is terrible, have been using NXT reporting for 18 months since I discovered them and the formatting works, until now.
Angela - I've been using FE for the past 2 years, came to it new, and the last month has been the worst. However, I do not know what the update/release schedule has been like for the past 2 years. It is only with this Reporting update that has made life difficult.
Blackbaud, if you even read these, Don't do updates without full testing scenarios, I can't imagine how if these were fully tested that it would have been released. But what do I know, I'm just an accountant.
Frustrated.2 -
Instead of editing the formula for the % column and having to change it back later, change the number format to currency for that column. And just change it back when they fix the issue.0

Just going to continue to update with other problems created with the reporting update.
The report I use to list outstanding cheques has changed. The data is fine, but it is all about the formatting. Cells have been merged when they were not merged before. I actually use this report to feed into something else and now I have to spend some time fixing something that should not have changed.
Neil - You do understand that I need a % variance calculation and the users of my reports expect it. So your option, while it can work, does not really help me.
I found it easier to create a copy of my reports, label them as a V2 with the /100 so if ever the fix occurs, I can go back to my old report. But since I need reports daily, cause you know things get posted, statements need to be prepared, reviewed, etc, etc.... I did not budget time to fix reports that were working fine prior to the reporting module update.
This is a perfect example of where a SAS product makes it worse for organizations. It's not the first time I have seen this happen. It happened with Ceridian Dayforce Payroll. Don't get me started on that...

Just updating this situation.
My case is still open. Reporting formatting has not been fixed. Sent a copy of before update and after update of my report outputs.
Cells merged, rows deleted, rows added, rows combined and headers repeated.
Solution should be a simple roll back. Would anyone object to the reporting module going back to the previous version? I don't think so.1 -
I'm having the trouble with my subtotals no longer being indented on financial reports. It makes the report more confusing to read so I'm having to export it to Excel and then add spaces before subtotal headings and details. It's annoying!!1

Another update.
I have noticed that some of the report formatting has changed.
The cells that were merged, are back to being unmerged.
However some of the row additions and deletions are still not fixed.

Almost a month since my last update. That is the status of the response to my issue.
I am not certain if it is just me and how I have my chart templates setup or is it an actual issue with the Reporting Module.
I still believe it is a Reporting Module issue and have not received any proper response to solution.
Did your rows change in your export to excel reports?
Did you just update your other reports and sheets that utilized the initial reports instead of waiting for a fix from Blackbaud?
We have basically finished our audit and are now focusing on closing April and May. We also have some operational changes that need updating in our reports and I had hoped a solution would have been provided by now. April 6 was the start of my case.
I just hope that if/when any changes occur with the reports again that it won't ruin my new reports. Should I start a pool?

And now a new issue....supposed to print a new statement for each program and now puts the next programs heading at the bottom of previous program's statement. Quit messing with reports and not telling anyone.0
