Gifts in Almabase using BBMS
We recently ran our Day of Giving through Almabase and have connected BBMS via SKY/Payment API as our payment processor. During our "Happy Hour" we experienced a number of failed transactions. I have been working with both Almabase and BBMS Support. They cannot seem to find any glitches on either side. There does seem to be some finger pointing, and most recently at our organizations settings in BBMS. These settings have probably existed since we first got BBMS in conjunction with RE and OnlineExpress. This is an odd thing to point to as it would mean our donors would have had to type in the incorrect information on 50+ transactions in a 2 hour window. This seems unlikely, as I was one of those failed transactions and I know I typed in all the correct information.
The other possibility that has been brought up is the API as it is the function/application that connects the two. I have gotten no answers from BBMS support except for them to say I should post here.
At this point, I don't really care what happened, I just want to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future if we choose to continue running alumni driven giving pages and reunion pages through Almabase.
Our giving day was April 19, the failed transactions all occurred between 5-7p.m. Central Time.
