Hello,

We have Banner and recently started feeding pledges to Financial Edge and trying to figure out the process. The way we are doing right now is putting the pledge in the project and it is showing up in the fund balance and we have to subtract it out we giving a report on a fund balance. Any information would be helpful.

    In the database view we use the General Ledger > Financial Statements > Custom Management Report for the report we send to the departments to show their project balances.


    We use the following headings:

    -Project ID Description

    -Beginning Balance

    -YTD New Gifts

    -Outstanding Pledges

    -Endowment Transfer

    -Program Spending

    -Transfers

    -Misc Income

    -Ending Balance (we take the pledge balance out of the ending balance)


    If looking at the project itself there may be a way to filter it. I have not looked in to that.

    When I was at the Citadel, we had a separate fund/ledger to house the pledges that way we could report on either a cash or accrual basis
