Hello,


Does anyone use Paycom to process their payroll? I would like to know if there is an integration available that can assist with recording the journal entries.

Hi Denise,


My organization uses Paycom for our HR and Payroll processes. There wasn't an integration available when I last checked. I was able to setup a general ledger code mapping and file layout in Paycom's report center to export the payroll transactions into a file that we import into Financial Edge. We have been doing this for several years and this has worked okay for us. I did notice when modifying our file layout last time there was a question wanting to know which accounting software we use and Blackbaud Financial Edge was one of the drop down choices. Answering the question does nothing other than inform Paycom. Seems like they are trying to gather information for a future integration based on what accounting software the majority of their customers are using.

Thank you for responding to my message. I appreciate it.


We have also set up a general ledger coding mapping and file layout to help with recording the journal entry into Financial Edge.


Unfortunately we still have to do a lot of manipulation to our data in order to get the information correct for our journal entry. Part of it is due to our set up.


I will keep my fingers crossed that an integration is part of the reason that they asked users the question of what software they use. This would be a great help to us.

The other thing I noticed when working with a Paycom file layout was the ability to build a dynamic field using a combination of text and dynamic data. Just a thought to possibly help with data manipulation. I had not noticed this before. Not sure if I missed this feature when first building a file layout several year ago or if it was a result of an enhancement.
