Issues with BBGM Sky View

Hi all! There are a few items we are concerned about in regard to Sky View. If you have insight or knowledge on these subjects, please share:


1. Will we be able to put payments on hold and activate them.

2. Will we be able to close affiliations?

3. Will we have the option of saving documents in BB without saving them on our computer first and then uploading?

4. Are the dashboards as is? In Classic view, we were able to save the columns at the size we desired. Seems in Sky View, you must expand the columns each time you open a new window.

Shanna, I, too have problems with Sky. I fear the time when Classic is no longer available. My current highest concerns are: I need access to Contacts like we have in Classic; I need more than 255 characters in most Note windows; and I would like a “Refresh” button like we have in Classic. There are lots of other aspect of Sky which are bothersome, mostly because the visuals are awful and should be more compact, like Classic, but I will stop here.

I have been using BBGM since we transitioned from Gifts Classic (server installed) to Gifts Online. SKY seems to be a huge leap backward in UI, features, visuals, and the way that we see and work with data. I'm hoping huge overhauls are to come before Classic is fully shut down but with the clock ticking I'm really getting nervous.

Rob, I'm feeling the same way. Sky just isn't as easy to work with as Classic and I keep thinking it's because I need to give it a chance, that my frustrations are because I have to get used to it; but like you, I've been working with it exclusively for the past four months and I'm still stumbling through the screens. Thanks for the validation.

I also feel the same. It's just more cumbersome in so many ways. We have specific reports that need editing and that's a big concern for me. One can only hope that Blackbaud is on top of things.
