BB Merchant Services with Dynamics 365 Business Central

Our organization has used BBMS with Razor's Edge for many years but our board is interested in making a switch to D365 BC and D365 NP.


In this transition, however, we are not eager to lose all our regular donors' financial info saved in BBMS. It would be a nightmare to have to contact each one and ask them to set up their giving in a different service.


So, my question is, can we keep BBMS for our online and regular donations but connect BBMS with D365 BC instead of Razor's Edge?

Yes, this should be possible. I am not familiar with Dynamics 365 and cannot advise on any customizations within that platform. However, with the SKY Payments API, it's possible to process a payment using existing saved payment information (i.e. BBPS tokens) and have them continue to pay out via BBMS.


For the recurring gifts, note that BBMS itself will not handle automatically triggering the payment each time it's due. This "scheduling" of the payment will need to occur outside of BBMS and via another custom application.
